We grow a lot of garlic and carrots, and it has always been especially difficult to harvest the garlic without shovel-cutting a lot of the bottoms off with our crew.
We used an existing toolbar, and clamps, cut and welded some bars and a flat blade that is equal to the width of our planting bed.
The blade goes beneath the crop and cuts it loose. The farmers go along and pull the carrots and garlic up with ease. This set us back about 30 dollars compared to a 900.00 purchased complete unit.
Thank you Butch and Flanagan welding for tweaking it.
